Principal's Message
This year is our last year as a K-8 school. We will be sending our middle schoolers to the new Charles M. Sumner Learning Campus in the fall of 2022! While the change is going to be hard, the staff at Ella Lewis will support our students through this transition.
Dear Students and Parents,
Welcome to school year 2021-2022! After learning and teaching through a pandemic, we are all ready to get back to some kind of normalcy! I am looking forward to a year filled with laughter and joy as our students engage in personally relevant learning activities throughout the year.
At Ella Lewis, we believe that every eagle can S.O.A.R high! Students are kept at the forefront of every decision that we make. We all play a role in our students’ success. This begins with being at school each day, being a partner in your child’s learning by working with them at home, reading as often as you can and encouraging them to do their very best everyday! We believe that all stakeholders should remember to always: Be Safe, Be Respectful & Be Responsible.
Our students actively engage in authentic, individualized, research based and personally relevant learning. Student learning is designed and supported by highly effective, qualified, and passionate staff. Our mission is that every student leaves our school as a responsible and involved citizen; a clear and effective communicator; a creative and practical problem solver; and a lifelong learner.
