About Me

After working at KidsPeace for four years, I decided to apply at the Ella Lewis School when a special education Ed Tech position became available. I am so happy that I made that decision almost 13 years ago! I worked as an educational technician for 10 years before I moved into the role of special education teacher.

Although I did not always plan on being a teacher, I can honestly say that I thoroughly enjoy each and every day! I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such amazing students. They have taught me so many valuable life lessons, and I wake up every morning excited to teach them something new. In addition to academics, Mrs. Willey and I work hard to teach our students how to be good citizens and how important it is to care about those around you. One of my favorite quotes is "The true measure of your character is what you do when nobody's watching".

When I am not at school, I love spending time with my wonderful family. My husband and I spend a lot of time outside with our three boys. Dance parties, golf cart rides, and walks in the woods happen just about daily. We also travel to different parts of New England to visit family.

I consider myself to be an extremely lucky person in many ways; working at Ella Lewis is an example of my good fortune!
